Emphasizing the second component of the FHA mission "to inspire future generations through education, arts and service," the Multimedia Design Mentorship Program is an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors who are interested in experiential learning that will expand their design skills while serving their community. Students will be mentored and guided by a professional designer with years of experience in multimedia design and art direction.
Program Summary
Students will build fundamental technical skills utilizing the latest marketing tools to create branded content, while guided by a professional brand director/mentor who can help them find their voice and personal brand and add depth and insight to the way they approach their projects and careers. They will ideate, develop, and strategically promote mixed-media content for Fulshear Historical Association.
Example projects may include, but not limited to:

Print media: brochures, fliers, invitations, signage

Display media: online exhibitions, pop-up booths, display wall

Digital media: videos, social media content, imagery, animated graphics

Meet the Mentor: Amal Agha
Amal Agha is a creative brand strategist and visual director with a demonstrated history of working in the oil and energy industry who is skilled in corporate identity, art direction and brand management. Amal is currently employed full-time as Senior Director, Corporate Brand Marketing and In-House Creative for Phillips 66.
She serves on the Fulshear Historical Association’s Advisory Board and has graciously donated her time and skills to establishing a professional brand image for the FHA. This work includes the organization's standard and bicentennial logos, strategic plan, print and digital marketing materials, and the "Shaping Fulshear" exhibit.

MULTIMEDIA DESIGN MENTORSHIP APPLICATION
Selection Process
The program mentor will review applications and portfolios on the dates specified in the program details. Final-round candidates will receive invitations to interview either remotely or in-person on an agreed upon date. Mentorship offers will be extended to two students, one from Fulshear High School and one from Jordan High School. Dates, including the start and completion of the mentorship, will be discussed at that time. Additional documents, including Student Code of Conduct & Parent Consent will be provided upon acceptance and must be returned in order to participate.
