About the Company
Fulshear Historical Association, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit, is currently seeking an experienced candidate for the volunteer position of Director of Digital Communications. This role is a board position and is responsible for overseeing the social media platforms, content creation, and email or web marketing for the organization. It reports to the executive board, and is supported by additional director positions.
About the Role
• Creating on-brand content that reflects the mission, vision, and values of the organization
• Overseeing the organization’s social media, developing a board-approved strategy for maintaining transparency, building positive engagement, and fostering an online community
• Promoting corresponding work and events in a timely manner
• Providing data-driven feedback to the board in order to improve effective marketing strategies and grow the organization’s general audience
• Overseeing the creation and distribution of monthly updates, quarterly newsletters, and annual invitations
Requirements
Knowledge of digital and online best practices
Proven record of beneficial social media and algorithm operations
Capabilities for digital design with cohesive brand creation and visual presentation
Additional Considerations:
A respect and fondness for the people (both past and present) of Fulshear, Texas
An interest in history, heritage, and preservation
Knowledge of community engagement, social networking, and equitable practices
Understanding of technologies, including Canva, Google Workspace, and Wix
